About Us

Bruce McFarland Bruce is an accomplished guitarist and vocalist. He has been playing professionally since the age of 13, performing at dances, parties and local events. By the age of 15 he was performing on Philadelphia’s WPVI live morning television show “The World Around Us” and later performing on various shows on WCAU TV hosted by news commentator Donald Barnhouse. During the late 70’s and 80’s he recorded the theme song for the WPVI TV show “Prime Time” hosted by Jim O’Brien and performed on major studio productions for Ingersol Rand, Capital Cities, The Philadelphia Phillies, EI Dupont, and Sportsman Center along with a list of other accomplishments.

Bruce has also performed on several original projects with guitarist Eric Bazilian from the Hooters, Patti LaBelle’s drummer Larry Davis, and Frank Sinatra and Barry Manilow’s drummer Jimmy Young.

In the early 80’s Bruce joined The Generation Gap as their lead guitarist in the midst of recording his original album. The rest, as they say, is history.

Sandra Araujo or Sandy, as so many of her friends call her, grew up as a gospel singer. Church is where she discovered her gift of song and loved being able to express her talent in a positive way. Praise music was and still is her passion. During her school years her involvement in musical theater and choir allowed her to hone her skills and work through her shyness. Being encouraged toward a career in opera by her choir director she felt she wanted to pursue professional work in the pop music field instead. In her early 20’s Sandy joined The Generation Gap band as the lead female vocalist. Since Sandy had not sung much secular music before, she was timid at first but rose to the challenge. Her ability to vocally emulate the artist she was covering in her own unique style added a whole new dimension to the wedding band and soon club work followed as the “In The Pocket Band”. During her tenure with the band she has performed in front of thousands for hundreds of weddings, parties and corporate affairs including the annual United States Supply Corporation Ball, The Temple Hospital Gala and The Variety Club annual fund raiser. In 2002 she was hired to record her first studio production, an inspirational song for G.G. Enterprises entitled “You’re a Diamond In The Rough”.

The Dynamic Duo In 2003 Bruce and Sandy began to play together as a duo and after gaining such a heavy following they began to take their friend’s and fan’s promptings to go more acoustic and to pursue their original work as well.

So here they are…...doing what they do best, entertain! Their talents alone are spectacular but together they are quite an engaging and dynamic phenomenon. Bruce’s playful antics and proficiency on the guitar strings are captivating and the purity of Sandy’s voice is intoxicating. Anything from the soft sounds of Sara McLaughlin to the passion and intensity of Janis Joplin, their renditions will leave you truly wowed!
